- Medium Potatoes, diced into large pieces

DIRECTIONS
- In a large pot, bring the peas and water to a boil.
- Lower the heat, add the remaining ingredients, and simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, or until the peas are very soft.
- Remove the bay leaves and serve.
